Phase 1: Foundation — Complete

  • Directory structure for calculators, KM tools, learning layers, and field tools
  • README with ecosystem links and badges
  • Sample files, templates, and curated learning library
  • Zenodo DOI registration (10.5281/zenodo.15245182)
  • GitHub Pages site

Phase 2: Content Expansion — In Progress

  • Observable notebooks, Taguette coding, Open Data Editor, and other field tools
  • SPSS scripts for survey analysis (14 syntax files)
  • Vensim system dynamics models (8 models)
  • Network effects and peer analysis tools
  • Data validation scripts (Python, R, Stata)
  • Complete remaining calculators (block-level development, population projection, environmental change)
  • Add worked examples under learning_layers/ with diagrams
  • Upload full KM tools documentation (SOPs, tagging taxonomies)

Phase 3: Econometrics and Causal Inference — Planned

  • Implement treatment effects estimation (DiD, PSM, IV) in Python, R, and Stata
  • Regression discontinuity designs
  • Sensitivity analysis for causal claims
  • Endogeneity correction methods
  • Connect with Stata impact evaluation snippets already in the repo

Phase 4: Testing and CI

  • Expand synthetic datasets for all calculators
  • Reproducibility checks across Stata, Python, and R scripts
  • Notebook rendering workflows (Quarto, Observable)
  • CI checks for script execution

Phase 5: Community

  • Blog post on building open knowledge repositories
  • Invite contributions from development researchers
  • Cross-link workflows with FieldStack and EquityStack
